Our Process

Visit our showroom for a free estimate. Bring a simple sketch of your current countertops or a cabinet layout for a new kitchen.

Walk through our stone warehouse and work closely with our experienced team to select stone to customize your project. We will draw your kitchen into our estimating software and give you a detailed layout estimate based on your stone selection(s).

Our entire process uses the latest digital technology available in our industry.   Once you sign our agreement and pay a 50% deposit, you will be scheduled for a template in your home to get exact measurements.  A big bonus with digital template technology  – if you are not replacing cabinets or changing the current cabinet layout, then you can leave your existing counters in place (and everything in your base cabinets) until the day before installation of the new ones giving you minimal downtime in the kitchen!  During the same time frame as the template occurs, the stone slabs you selected are photographed on a green board.

Your measurements are transferred from the template machine to industry leading vein matching software that then makes it possible to overlay your template layout onto the actual photographs of your slabs.  This software makes it possible to get the best looking seam match within the parameters of the stone and your specific layout, finding the most common points between the two sides of the seam.

Once the layout is complete, the job transfers electronically to the CNC bridge saw where the individual pieces are cut from the full slabs.

The individual pieces are then transferred to a CNC router for edging, holes, etc.

The stone shop team will assemble your kitchen counters in our shop and hand finish/polish certain areas before they are collated onto A-frames for the delivery truck. The delivery team installs each piece, seams them (if required), installs the sink(s) (but not the plumbing!) with silicone and mechanical sink bars, cleans the counters, and gives them a final sealer application.
